The solution was to offer a database designed to return a large amount of information including product groups, product types for any given
product group, manufacturers, basic details or basic and additional details of products for a given product type, a product comparison screen,
special offers and 'assistants'.
The database also has the ability to associate images and documents (e.g. brochures) with products, which are then available as links on the
public site. The public site has been designed to enable the user to access the required information with as few clicks as possible. To cope with
the complex pricing categories, the site was structured so that the default display is retail price, but once a dealer is logged on, their specific
pricing structure is displayed.
This service allows dealers to access their own unique pricing structure. and can uniquely brand versions of the Medium product range on their
own websites, complete with online stock checks.
The site design encompassed both dynamic portions, which drew information from the database as well as static portions related to marketing
content. The web designer has the flexibility to change the look and feel of the site while still preserving the dynamic portions.
