The Digital Fidelity System is a hard disk Hi Fi product that gives users the ability to concurrently play different music in any room that it
has been set up in. Digital Fidelity uses digital technology to both store and control a playlist of over 5000 tracks using WMA files or WAV files.
The system consists of a computer hard-drive which is attached to the users existing Hi Fi system and is then operated by a separate Personal Digital
Assistant (PDA) such as a Compaq handheld. The PDA uses a wireless LAN to communicate track and playlist selections.
Fitting the generic descriptor 'digital home jukebox' this product is differentiated from the competition by the fact that it is controlled from
the PDA. This enables the users to administer and make all their music selection from the PDA. It is also differentiated by sheer capacity and by
the quality of the musical fidelity available.
